Funniest Videos from Vogue's 73 Questions

Vogue’s highly touted YouTube series 73 Questions has become highly reputable for providing digital tours of breathtaking mansions many celebrities and fashion icons reside in. The series is among the most popular on YouTube, and has seen the likes of Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra, and Kim Kardashian in its prestigious lineup of celebrity participants.

The core of the series is not focused on the stellar framework of mansions, but on the answers of the 73 questions asked by the same unidentified cameraman/interviewer. The 73 questions series has roughly 50-55 videos, and is arguably the most successful type of video the fashion magazine has placed on YouTube. The videos average roughly five to 25 million viewers.

The series provides a “life interview” of well-known entertainment and fashion moguls by asking 73 random questions in a row as a tour of the house is given. Videos can be serious, funny, slow, deep, or humble. Each celebrity guest star brings a different aura to their interview, thus making the series a compilation of videos inclusive of diverse opinions, personalities, and answers. Here are some of the funniest ones:

Lily Singh

Lily Singh, also known as Superwoman, did not shy away from bringing her hilarious YouTube personality to 73 Questions. The gifted YouTuber made a comical impression of singer Cardi B to showcase one of her many skills shown on her YouTube channel. In addition, Singh made accent-filled impressions of her Indian parents to display their reaction for her desire to become a rapper, just one of the highlights which made her video a breath of fresh air.

To top off her impressions, she even showed one of her impersonation videos to the cameraman. Due to the busy lifestyle Singh has, her kitchen cabinets were casually stocked with thousands of Skittles packets, her favorite “meal.” And for the haters out there, Singh hoped for them to find happiness. Inspirational and humorous, Superwoman’s 73 Questions video provided the perfect blend of sarcasm, smirks, and Singh’s goals for a better world.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron made quite the entrance to his own home in a vintage, turbo-charged car, casually stating he returned from a massive workout, only to drop the “just kidding” label. Though it seemed he may have returned from a workout, the actor instead went to get some food to grill for himself and the cameraman. As the tour continued, questions about the celebrity’s favorite things and funniest moments were brought up. An instance included Efron’s emphatic reminiscence about kissing fellow actor Dwayne Johnson, calling him the “perfect guy”.

Further on in the video, Efron proclaimed more praise for Johnson, indicating the bromance was real between the two popular actors. Aside from the bromance, the actor would make his life a musical called “Zacalicious” if given the chance. With all his talent in acting/athletics and being among the most recognized in the world, the successful actor deemed his hidden talent making spit bubbles with his tongue, perhaps something he could perform in “Zacalicious.”

Derek Zoolander

Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller), the hysterical protagonist from the Zoolander films, decided to come back to life and participate in the popular series. The movie character was highly amusing throughout the video, making small jokes to go alongside his famous Zoolander accent. Some of the highlights of the video included Zoolander talking about testing clean for Instagram, calling Geico ads his favorite TV show, calling Walt Disney his favorite Disney character, saying tickling makes him smile the most, and calling clothes the all-time best fashion trend.

Zoolander’s dry humor and literal statements meshed with his persona easily, and made his video among the best of the series. The video was an exception from typical 73 questions videos, because it incorporated much more humor and was intended for satire rather than honesty.

A creative new concept can go a long way, and in the case of 73 Questions, it’s a proven success. It depicts celebrities in a natural state and is personal, with no script and all heart. Though all the videos are not humorous, they are still entertaining and the diverse cast of the videos contributes to an overall enjoyable series. New videos are still uploaded from time to time, so hop onto the 73 Questions fandom train and take a ride into a thrilling YouTube video set.
