The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck were staples of 2000s Disney Channel television. Viewers could see Dylan and Cole Sprouse, along with several other characters grow throughout the series.

While many of us know Cole is still in the spotlight as Jughead Jones on the CW’s Riverdale, Dylan and other former co-stars like Brenda Song have been in that type of spotlight less in recent memory. What are both up to now? Let’s look:

Background/Start

Dylan Sprouse was born on August 4, 1992 in Arezzo, Italy. He is now 27-years-old and is the older twin between him and his brother. The actor began with small roles starting as early as 1993. In the ‘90s and early 2000s, Dylan took on small film and TV roles, including appearances in the 1999 film Big Daddy, a voice role in Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights, and an appearance on That ‘70s Show.

Brenda Song was born on March 27, 1988 in Carmichael, California. She is now 32-years-old. She started her career in the mid ‘90s, beginning with small TV and film roles until 2005. Some notable appearances include on the Bernie Mac Show, George Lopez, That’s So Raven, and Phil of the Future.

Big Break

Like many starring on that show, Dylan’s big break came when he landed the lead role on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which began airing in 2005. He played the role of the reckless, lazy teen Zack Martin. This show prompted both Dylan and Cole to fame and resulted in a spin-off series, The Suite Life on Deck, which began airing in 2008.

Like her co-stars, Song had her big break in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody by playing the rich, but clueless London Tipton. The character played a main role alongside Dylan and Cole for that series along with the Suite Life on Deck.

Other Works

Dylan took a brief hiatus from acting starting in 2011/2012, and up until 2017. This was so the actor could attend college at New York University, where he ended up getting a degree in video game design in 2015. Upon returning to acting, Sprouse notably starred in the 2017 film Dismissed, among a few others from 2017-2019.

After the Suite Life on Deck ended in 2011, Brenda Song has not starred in many films. However, she has appeared on several different TV series. The actress made small appearances on New Girl, Scandal, and Superstore.

She also had a main role in a couple of TV series in the mid 2010s, called Dads and Pure Genius.

Today

Dylan Sprouse is back in the acting game, though not in the large capacity we have grown accustomed to. He has not starred in TV since 2012. His most notable upcoming role comes in the sequel to teen romance film After, called After We Collided. There is no specific release date, though the film may release sometime this year.

Brenda Song is still very involved in the acting industry today. She currently has a lead voice role in the animated Disney series Amphibia, along with a lead role in the Hulu series Dollface. She also had a main role in the Netflix film Secret Obsession, which released last year.
