With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the country, many of us are now in a situation where there are much less things to do. Therefore, streaming service and TV show viewers are likely picking up at an insane rate.
There are plenty of teen shows you can catch on many different channels/streaming services, so let’s check out a few for you to consider watching on the CW:
All American
One of the most popular shows on the channel, All American is riveting, suspenseful, moving, and sincere. The premise centers around Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), a talented football player from the Crenshaw neighborhood of L.A. who gets the opportunity of a lifetime when he is scouted by Beverly Hills High football coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs).
The well-respected coach suggests James’ talent is remarkable and that he should come play in the Hills. The teen takes up the offer and switches up his life as he must now live and deal with the lavish lifestyle and wealthy people of 90210.
Amidst all the adjustments, making new friends/enemies, and playing ball for a new team, the teen realizes he has a chance to make a name for himself and hopefully secure a college scholarship. But will being loyal to anywhere but his roots cause regret or rifts with friends/family back home?
All American has two seasons and they are available on Netflix. A third season is anticipated this Fall.
Riverdale
The tiny town of Riverdale is anything but quiet. For teens Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), they must deal with much more than the typical high school experience. This includes fighting criminals, solving mysteries, getting put into action-packed situations, and dealing with forces that are seemingly out of this world.
Despite what it is, hidden secrets and mysteries loom inside this quaint little town. The series is taken after the Archie Comics and was created by the now-rising teen sitcom inventor Roberto-Aguirre-Sacasa.
The star-studded cast also features the late Luke Perry, Mark Consuelos, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, Molly Ringwald, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan, among others.
The show is currently airing its fourth season on the CW. The first three seasons are available on Netflix and the series is primed to return for a Season 5.
Legacies
Legacies is a spin-off show on the CW that succeeds a previous sitcom from the network called the Originals. It is of the supernatural genre and centers around Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), a teen who goes to the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted which trains students to harness their powerful aptitudes. Hope is the child of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) from the Originals.
The series also features characters such as Josie Saltzman (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie Saltzman (Jenny Boyd), Landon Kirby (Aria Shahghasemi), and Milton Greasley (Quincy Fouse). Legacies is currently airing its second season on the CW and has been confirmed to return for a third. The first season is available to stream on Netflix.
